Our Story
28Watt was founded in Bondi, NSW by Robin and Jake. Jake is a broker with extensive finance experience, dedicated to finding you the right loan at the best possible rate. Robin is a building engineer from the Netherlands, the world leaders in home sustainability.
Together with the rest of the 28Watt team, they'll make sure you get a great deal on your finance so your upgrade pays for itself sooner.
How we operate
Analyse and compare
From there, we do the work. We analyse your quote and compare rates across our panel of 60+ lenders to find you the lowest rate and repayments available. We're not tied to any single lender, so the recommendation is always based on what's cheapest for you.
Start your application
Once we've found the best option, we handle the application from start to finish. Think of it as a concierge service. We manage the paperwork, keep things moving, and make sure you have the best possible chance of a quick approval. You get the upgrade funded without the hassle.
Who we serve
We help homeowners right across Australia. You might have found us through a finance option in your installer's quote, or you've come straight to our website. Either way, we're ready to help!
It doesn't matter what type of upgrade you're doing. Solar, batteries, heat pumps, insulation, double glazing, an EV, or a full retrofit. If there's a quote for an energy efficiency upgrade, we can find you the best finance for it.
Accessing your rate and repayments is free, and will not impact your credit score
We understand that the up-front costs involved with purchasing energy-efficient upgrades are a hurdle for most, so we also provide tailored financial solutions to help you maximise your savings and boost your cash flow.
We earn a small commission from the bank only if you go ahead with the loan but don't worry, you still access the same interest rate as if you'd gone directly to the bank. We always make sure you have the best chance of approval as we know the bank's criteria inside and out.
