Our mission is to help Aussie homeowners like you understand how to save on their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.
Energy efficient homes are cheaper to run, more comfortable, and contribute to a greener future for our planet. New homes in Australia must have a 7-star or higher energy efficiency rating. However, existing homes built before minimum building standards were introduced have an average rating of 1.7 stars and require three times the amount of heating and cooling.
This means as electricity and gas prices continue to increase, homeowners of older homes are impacted most.

Our story
28Watt was founded in Bondi, NSW by Robin and Jake. Jake has a finance background and is dedicated to helping you to find the right finance solution to maximise your savings. Robin is a building engineer from the Netherlands, the world leaders in home sustainability.
Along with the dedicated 28Watt team, they'll ensure that you have all of the information you need to make the right choice for your home. We're dedicated to our mission of helping you save big on your bills and boost your cash flow by upgrading your home.
Who we serve
Currently, our free home assessment is available in Metropolitan areas of Australia only. We'll continue to expand our service coverage over time, so if we haven't been able to provide you with personalised quotes this time around, send us an email and we'll let you know if there's another way we can help.
We are currently unable to provide tailored advice for those living in apartments or units, but we're working on it!
How we operate
Our online home assessment is free, and you have no obligation to proceed with any of the quotes we provide you. We aim to help you not only understand the benefits of making your home more energy efficient but also the costs involved. We do this so that you can make an informed decision about whether an upgrade is right for you. We understand that the up-front costs involved with purchasing energy efficient upgrades like solar panels are a hurdle for most, so we also provide tailored financial solutions to help you maximise your savings and boost your cash flow.
We earn a small commission from our installer network if you decide to go ahead with an upgrade to your home. We only use vetted, high-quality installers to ensure that you can trust those who are working on your home.
Our team
Our team is based in Sydney. We're passionate about the climate but recognise that there most homes face significant barriers in adopting money-saving technologies like solar panels, and batteries. We work with our dedicated installer network to ensure that no one gets left behind, regardless of budget.
In our spare time we love hiking, spending time at the beach, and an occasional pub visit.
